21.07.202610:20:31UTC+00Latvia Producer Prices Rise to Over 1-Year High

Producer prices in Latvia increased by 3.3% year-on-year in June 2026, up from an upwardly revised 2.0% in May, marking the fastest pace of growth since February 2025. The acceleration was driven largely by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, where prices rose 12.2% compared with 2.9% in the previous month.

Manufacturing prices also continued to rise, though slightly more slowly than in May (1.0% vs 1.1%). Within manufacturing, however, several categories saw stronger price growth, including beverages (2.1% vs 0.8%), textiles (5.6% vs 4.9%), printing and reproduction of recorded media (4.8% vs 0.9%), and rubber and plastic products (7.3% vs 3.3%).

By contrast, price growth eased in mining and quarrying, slowing to 8.9% from 12.2%. Inflation remained unchanged in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, holding steady at 7.9%.

On a monthly basis, producer price growth moderated, with prices rising 0.5% in June following an upwardly revised 1.1% increase in May.
